Waterfall Preparatory School

Something exciting is taking shape . We're proud to announce that construction on our new specialist learning block has begun.

Purpose-designed to inspire creativity, innovation and excellence, the new building will feature specialist Visual Art and Dramatic Arts studios, alongside a commercial-style Consumer Studies kitchen, giving our high school students access to facilities that reflect the exceptional quality of teaching already taking place in these subjects.

The development will also include a large multi-purpose venue suitable for Matric examinations, assemblies and school events, as well as a number of flexible breakaway spaces to support small-group learning and a variety of academic and co-curricular activities.

This exciting addition reflects our continued commitment to providing exceptional learning environments where every child can thrive. Every space has been thoughtfully designed to encourage collaboration, creativity and confidence, while supporting the diverse needs of our growing school community.

As construction progresses, we'll be sharing regular updates as we watch this exciting new chapter come to life. This is more than a new building - it's an investment in the next generation of artists, performers, creators and innovators.

What a fantastic day on the trails!

Our Waterfall Prep Mountain Bike team had a great day of riding at St Charles on Saturday, 25 July, proudly sporting their new team kit. Every rider gave their all, showing determination, resilience and great sportsmanship throughout the day.

Well done to our boys and girls on an outstanding effort. We're incredibly proud of the way you represented Waterfall Prep! We look forward to hosting the Cycle Lab Schools MTB Series [tag] at Waterfall Schools on 6 September.

What a fantastic day on the fairways!

Our Waterfall Schools Golf Day, held at Cotswold Downs Golf Estate on 30 July, was a wonderful celebration of golf, connection and community.

From friendly competition and valuable networking to plenty of laughter and fun games that kept everyone young at heart, the day was enjoyed by all. Our four-ball alliances embraced the spirit of the event, making for a memorable day both on and off the course.

A definite highlight was the incredible prizes that were up for grabs!

A heartfelt thank you to all of our generous sponsors for helping make the day a success, with special appreciation to Smiths Property, BMW Pinetown, MINI Pinetown, Obsurv Technology and Kayser Baird. Your support plays a vital role in making events like these possible.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. All proceeds from the day will go towards enhancing our sports facilities.

Our Grade 1s had an unforgettable day at uShaka Marine World on 21 July as part of their theme - Under the Sea.

From discovering fascinating marine life to learning about the wonders of our oceans, the children listened attentively, soaked up lots of new information and made the most of the day.

The highlight? The spectacular dolphin show, which had everyone smiling from ear to ear!

Learning comes alive when the classroom extends beyond four walls and this outing was the perfect way to start a term filled with curiosity, discovery and adventure beneath the waves!

What a fantastic day of Interhouse Soccer!

On 22 July, our three houses went head-to-head in an exciting day of soccer, but the true victory was the teamwork, sportsmanship and school spirit displayed on and off the field. From the first whistle to the final match, the fields were filled with energy, determination and plenty of cheering from the sidelines.

Congratulations to Nkonka for being crowned our 2026 Interhouse Soccer Champions. We are incredibly proud of the respect, enthusiasm and resilience shown both on and off the field.

Days like these remind us that while winning is exciting, the friendships made, lessons learnt and memories created are what truly make sport so special.

Jars of Hope: Our school community came together to put faith into action as children from every grade donated items for our Jars of Hope initiative.

Working together, pupils carefully packed the jars, knowing that each one will bring encouragement, support and a little extra hope to families in our community, this winter. We are so proud of the generosity, kindness and compassion shown by our learners as they helped make a difference in the lives of others. These were distributed by our non-profit partners .

Thank you to everyone who contributed and helped turn simple donations into meaningful gifts of hope.

T is for Teddy's Tea Party!

Our Grade Rs had a terrific time enjoying a special Teddy's Tea Party, complete with tea, biscuits and their favourite teddy bear friends.

What a sweet way to reinforce the letter T while making phonics fun, memorable and engaging. The smiles, laughter and cuddly companions made for the sweetest sight.
