From networking to knowledge-sharing, our Business Breakfast was a wonderful reminder of the power of connection. Thank you to everyone who joined us and a massive thank you to the PAG for organising.

Our U11 Girls A and B teams enjoyed an afternoon of soccer against strong opponents - Atholl Heights - on 25 May, and we are so proud of the effort they showed on the field. The A team played a strong match and held their own, while the B team showed great determination in a close game. Well done to all our girls for their teamwork, resilience and positive spirit. Keep growing, girls!
We play to win, but Prep sport is about more than the result, so you won’t see scores published here.

On Friday 29 May, our Waterfall Prep pupils arrived at school in their comfiest, cosiest and cutest slippers in support of a very special cause. We have been collecting socks for the Focus on iThemba ECD Centres, helping little feet stay warm this winter.
Thank you to our Prep families for supporting this thoughtful initiative and for helping our children experience the joy of giving back.

Creativity, teamwork and problem-solving in action! Our Grade 7s recently worked in groups to design and build their very own Rube Goldberg machines - creative chain-reaction inventions that use many steps to complete one simple task.
It was wonderful to see collaboration, communication and plenty of out-the-box thinking at play as our pupils tested, adjusted and improved their designs. From ramps and dominoes to levers and rolling objects, each group brought their ideas to life in such a fun and practical way. A fantastic example of learning through experimentation, teamwork and perseverance!

We love Cross Country season and the chance to make the most of our beautiful Insele Trail. Yesterday, our Waterfall Prep children gave it their all as they represented their houses with wonderful determination, energy and house spirit from start to finish.
Our parents were in full support mode, cheering loudly for Nkutu ❤️, Nkonka 💛 and Mpiti 💚. The energy on the side-lines was incredible, and all three houses were a joy to watch.
The Foundation Phase tackled the 2km route, while the Intermediate Phase took on the 3km challenge. It was fantastic to see our pupils giving their best, encouraging one another and enjoying a wonderful day of healthy competition.
We look forward to welcoming local schools to our interschool cross country tomorrow!

Our Grade 2 girls are thoroughly enjoying the mini soccer matches hosted by Forest View. It has been wonderful to see their growing confidence, enthusiasm and teamwork on the field, alongside the skills they are developing with each match. These experiences are helping to build a lifelong love of sport.

Our Waterfall Prep Open Boys Soccer teams played with great energy and determination at Pitlochry on 11 May. Both teams had a fantastic afternoon on the field, making themselves known in the league.
What stood out most was the way our boys carried themselves with humility, respect and excellent sportsmanship, both on and off the field. Well done, boys. We are so proud of the way you represented Waterfall Prep!

World Bee Day at Waterfall Prep 🐝
On Wednesday, 20 May, our Prep pupils celebrated World Bee Day and what a buzz it was!
We had a wonderful swarm of learner bees buzzing with excitement as they discovered more about these incredible little pollinators. By a very sweet coincidence, our very own Mrs V, Belinda Van Zyl, is a beekeeper and shared her knowledge with the children, teaching them all about the important role bees play in our environment.
The children loved finding out how bees help our world grow and, of course, that honey is just the cherry on top!
