Great golf. Great company. Great cause.

The fairways at Cotswold Downs were buzzing as players teed it up for the Waterfall Schools Golf Day on 30 July. From long drives to challenging greens and plenty of healthy rivalry, the day delivered everything that makes golf great.

Every swing, every sponsorship and every four-ball booked has helped raise funds to enhance the sports facilities at Waterfall Schools, creating opportunities for our students for years to come.

Congratulations to Steve McNabb, who achieved the lowest score on the day, and to our winning team - Nick Conway, Martin Conway, Ryan Conway and Gareth Nuttall.

Something exciting is taking shape at Waterfall College. We're proud to announce that construction on our new specialist learning block has begun.

Purpose-designed to inspire creativity, innovation and excellence, the new building will feature specialist Visual Art and Dramatic Arts studios, alongside a commercial-style Consumer Studies kitchen, giving our high school students access to facilities that reflect the exceptional quality of teaching already taking place in these subjects.

The development will also include a large multi-purpose venue suitable for Matric examinations, assemblies and school events, as well as a number of flexible breakaway spaces to support small-group learning and a variety of academic and co-curricular activities.

This exciting addition reflects our continued commitment to providing exceptional learning environments where every child can thrive. Every space has been thoughtfully designed to encourage collaboration, creativity and confidence, while supporting the diverse needs of our growing school community.

As construction progresses, we'll be sharing regular updates as we watch this exciting new chapter come to life. This is more than a new building - it's an investment in the next generation of artists, performers, creators and innovators.

There is something special about the quiet moments before school begins again. As the campus rests, nature takes centre stage – birdsong fills the air, the trees sway gently and the winter aloes burst into colour, reminding us that there is beauty in every season. It's just one of the many things that makes Waterfall Schools such a special place to learn and grow.

A Colourful End to Term 2! Our annual Colour Run was the perfect way to wrap up Term 2, bringing the Waterfall College community together in a vibrant display of school spirit. Students and staff laced up their takkies and took to the route with enthusiasm, all while raising funds for additional resources for our Sports Department. It was extra special to have some of our Waterfall Preparatory School Grade 6s and 7s join in the fun.

We are proud to partner with Focus on iThemba and support their life-changing work in empowering parents and strengthening families.

When parents feel supported, children flourish – and the positive impact is felt in homes, classrooms and communities alike.

Our Grade 9 Physical Science students have been hard at work on their Science Fair projects since the beginning of the year.

Each student selected a topic that interested them, developed a scientific question they can test and designed an experiment to investigate it. Through this process, they practised using the scientific method, explored new ideas and discovered some very interesting results.

One of the most valuable lessons was learning that experiments do not always go according to plan. Many of our budding scientists had to adapt, research further, make improvements, and try again — an important part of real scientific thinking.

A parent who attended the evening shared how impressed he was to see the students learning to overcome the challenges they faced in their experiments. It was also wonderful to have our Grade 6 Waterfall Prep students enjoy the Science Fair and be inspired by the projects on display.

Our Waterfall Preparatory School and Waterfall College staff came together to reconnect after the Easter break. Good food and even better company filled the morning with laughter and energy. Moments like these remind us how important it is to pause, connect and enjoy being part of a team that feels like family.
