On the 5th of October 2024 the department of basic education hosted the national teaching awards. Our principal MR C.M Dlamini and MS A Xhala won. MR Dlamini was awarded with 1st position in excellence in special needs leadership, Ms A Xhala was awarded 3rd position in special needs teaching.

The staff celebrated both winners with the morning with so much joy.

On the 10th of August last week Thursday we got a visit from Ubuhlebezwe fire department for fire awareness and drill. The learners got to Learn about the dangers of the fire and how to pervert fire or stop the fire.

DMSS yet again hosted an Annual Circuit Manager Cluster meeting with extended CMC and MANCO. The school is regarded as a Resource Centre which provides all different kinds of information, equipment and support amongst the Department of Education. Our school is the Centre of Excellence. Today our celebrated women’s day

It was indeed a joyful day for the school. We once again shined as were competing at the competition of Drama invited by the Department of Arts and Culture. Daniel Mzamo Special School was crowned 1st position in the competition. We wouldn't have done it without the educators dedication. As a school we would like to applaud all the Staff and learners who were involved in prepation for the Drama Competition. Daniel Mzamo Special School a pioneer in Special Education.
