🤩🇿🇦HONORING NATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY👸🤵🏻♀️
Today, 9 August, we celebrate National Women’s Day.
A day that remembers the 20,000 women who marched to the Union Buildings in 1956. They marched not with weapons, but with courage. They marched for freedom, for dignity, and for a future where daughters could dream bigger than their mothers were allowed to.
That march reminds us: when women rise, communities rise.
National Women’s Day is not only about looking back. It’s about looking forward.
It’s asking: What kind of future are we building for women?
A future where women lead companies like Vodacom and Standard Bank.
A future where a girl from Mabuthela High School can become doctor, engineer, or president e.t.c
But that future needs all of us.
To the boys: respect women, support women, and stand with women.
To the girls: believe in yourself. Your voice matters. Your education matters. Your dreams matter.
Happy National Women’s Day.
May we honor the women of 1956 by building a South Africa where every woman and girl can walk tall.📚🙎🏽♀️
