From Stellies to the stars: Students build telescope tech bound for China’s moon mission | News24 Four Stellenbosch University students are building technology that could be sent to the moon as part of the Chinese National Space Agency’s Chang’e-8 robotic lunar mission, in a display that will cement South Africa’s place as a country with satellite-building capabilities.

Our very own Kendra Hudson (now Horne), a true Hermanus girl, has been selected as one of the Top 24 contestants for Miss South Africa!

Kendra grew up here in our beautiful town and attended both Laerskool Hermanus Primary and Hermanus High School. It is so special to see someone from our own community stepping onto such a big stage.
