This week's fun and innovative sessions

We are now recruiting: Zwelihle Skillz are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help expand and deliver creative programmes in order to ensure the sustainability of the project. Interviews are being held this week, message us via email ([email protected]) or text (0845189717) if you are interested!

Yesterday's session focused on adjectives. The classroom was full of creative writers, watch this space!

Another brilliant English session. Was great to have food generously provided by William Ntebe, the founder of Zwelihle Youth Café. Future's looking bright (and full of sandwiches!).

About us:

We at Zwelihle Skillz are part of an Entrepreneurship programme which is under International Citizen Service (ICS) and Skillshare International. We are a group of UK and RSA volunteers working together to provide a sustainable business in the community of Zwelihle.

We have recognized that in Zwelihle there are limited activities for young people to engage in and a lack of opportunities for them to develop their skills. Therefore, this project will provide employment and valuable experience for members of the community.

We provide a safe environment for young people to interact with each other, develop their skills and learn through fun and interactive activities. Our aim is to empower young people to achieve their goals whilst also enhancing their personal and social development.

We offer activities such as English workshops, homework and reading club as well as CV writing classes. The sessions currently run on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons at Zwelihle Library between 3 – 5pm.
