Curro Hermanus

🦁🦁PRIMARY SCHOOL
The Western Cape Dressage League took place at Long Shadows Farm on Saturday, 8 August 2026 and we are incredibly proud of our talented Curro girls; Theara (Grade 5E2) - 2nd Place and Luna-Leigh (Grade 6A1) - 4th Place in their respective categories.

Both girls work incredibly hard, balancing their schoolwork, numerous exams with their passion and dedication to horses. Their commitment, discipline and genuine love for equestrian sport are truly inspiring.

We are excited to share that Luna-Leigh and Theara will represent the branch this September at the Interbranch Competition, taking place over two days in Paarl at the Mistico Equestrian Centre.

The competition brings together Pony Club members from across Africa.

We wish Theara and Luna-Leigh the very best of luck. We cannot wait to see what they bring home!

🦁🦁HIGH SCHOOL: Last games of the season ...

Saturday, 15 August marked the end of the winter sports season as we have come to know it. It was a beautiful, sunny winter's day, and fun was had by all. While some results went our way and others did not, the most important outcome was the enjoyment shared and the friendships that were strengthened along the way.

PRIMARY SCHOOL NEWS
Today our Foundation Phase learners were captivated by the **Mini Science Lab**! They watched with fascination as exciting experiments brought science to life and they absolutely loved it.

Experiences like these help children see that science is more than facts in a textbook. It encourages curiosity, questioning and a sense of wonder about the world around them.

One learner summed it up perfectly:

**“This isn’t science… this is magic!”**

And honestly, we couldn’t have said it better! ✨
