Last Tuesday, our Grade 6–9 learners officially resumed their Chess Classes, where they are developing both their strategic thinking and practical playing skills.Chess is much more than a game,it strengthens critical thinking, concentration, problem-solving, patience, decision-making, creativity, and self-discipline. These are valuable life skills that support academic success and help learners grow into confident leaders.
We are excited to see our learners sharpening their minds, one move at a time. Well done to everyone who participated!

Our Cooking class learners of the skill development programme had a wonderful time during last Thursday's cooking class, where they made Lyonnaise – a delicious French potato and onion dish. 🇫🇷🥔 We are so proud of their enthusiasm and growing culinary skills!

What a wonderful way to begin Term 3 with our first chapel service, beautifully led by Teacher Faith.

We reflected on the incredible sacrifice Jesus made for us. As Isaiah 53:5 reminds us, “He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities… and by His stripes we are healed.” We also read from 1 Peter 2:24:

“Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.”

Jesus willingly chose the cross. He did not resist those who came to arrest Him because He knew His sacrifice would bring salvation to all who believe. Long before we were born, He loved us enough to lay down His life so that we could have forgiveness, healing, and eternal life.

Thank you, Teacher Faith, for sharing this powerful message and reminding us of the depth of God’s love as we begin a new school term. May Term 3 be filled with faith, growth, and His abundant blessings.

Term 3 is officially underway, and what a fantastic first day back at Hermanus Christian Academy! It was wonderful to welcome our learners back and see their smiling faces filling the classrooms once again. The day was both fun and productive, with everyone settling in well and eager to learn. We’re looking forward to an amazing term filled with growth, new opportunities, and many special memories. Here’s to a blessed and successful Term 3 for our entire HCA family! 📚✨🙏
