Second week of CQC training for Close Protection Officers (CPOs) and security personnel.

Today was especially interesting as the senior CPOs shared striking techniques they’ve applied in the field to stay alive and make it home to their families.

Learning together with a great group of people.

Training Close Protection Officers and Security Personnel

Day 1 of Close Quarter Combat (CQC) training for Close Protection Officers (CPO) and security personnel is complete.

We covered core fundamentals Yes! But then moved to more important work like protecting your firearm in a confrontation, blade and baton work.

Strong focus and professionalism from everyone involved.

Appreciation to Valor for hosting Raven Combat and providing excellent training facilities and classrooms for both practical sessions and lectures.

More to come on a weekly basis.

Today was a solid step forward.

After running the AK-47 with control and confidence, I introduced Marlo to the first three exercises of the tactical unit standards set at a level that’s 2 seconds faster than the instructor shoot.

Exercise:

1. 5 meters 5 rounds 6 seconds from draw

2. 5 meters 5 rounds 6 seconds kneeling from draw

3. 5 meters 5 rounds 8 seconds draw with the strong hand and transition to the weak hand.

No easing into it, just straight into the standard.

Pressure reveals everything. And that’s the point.

No shortcuts, no excuses just discipline, repetition, and the willingness to meet the bar, even when it’s set high.

That’s where real growth lives.

We don’t chase average. We train above it.

We build. We sharpen. We elevate.
