Last night, SilverOaks celebrated a truly historic milestone - our very first Matric Farewell.

Paige, Sabiha and Chicane, our Class of 2026, will forever be remembered as the first Matrics of SilverOaks Montessori School.

From little girls who started their journey with us in Pre-Primary, to the confident young women they are today, we have watched them grow, overcome challenges, celebrate successes and help pave the way for those who will follow.

They were our pioneers - growing alongside the school and helping shape SilverOaks into what it is today.

To our three beautiful Matrics, thank you for going first. Your names will forever be part of the SilverOaks story.

A heartfelt thank you to our staff, parents, families and everyone who helped make this unforgettable evening possible.

BUILDING WORDS, BUILDING CONFIDENCE

The Moveable Alphabet is a key Montessori language material used to help children build words and develop reading and writing skills before they are able to write comfortably with a pencil.

The Moveable Alphabet helps children build words using individual letters. Children listen to the sounds in a word and select the correct letters to form it. This activity develops phonemic awareness, spelling, reading readiness, and confidence in writing before pencil work becomes fluent.

The aim is To build words using known letter sounds. This material is usually introduced after a child knows several letter sounds and before they begin extensive handwriting work. It bridges the gap between knowing sounds and becoming a reader and writer

A proud milestone for SilverOaks Montessori School!

Today we had the honour of sending out invitations to our very first Matric Farewell.

These invitations went to three exceptional matriculants who have walked alongside us since their Pre-primary days.

From those early learning steps to this significant milestone, their journey reflects incredible dedication, commitment, and growth. We are immensely proud to celebrate not only this first for SilverOaks, but more importantly, the remarkable young people who have been part of our school family for so many years.

Congratulations to our three pioneers, your journey inspires us all.

Happy Father's Day to all our incredible dads!

A massive THANK YOU to every father who joined us for our unforgettable Father’s Day Hike, Boerie & Picnic day!

Watching you guys create precious memories with your children was pure magic. From powering through the rocky river bed, climbing up the mountain side, venturing into the mysterious old mine shaft on the mountain, to ending the adventure with sizzling boerie rolls and a relaxed picnic.... The laughter, the stories, and the bonding were everything.

Our serene farm provided the perfect backdrop for these special moments that your kids will treasure forever. Thank you for showing up, for exploring with open hearts, and for making the event so special!

Today we honour the courage, resilience, and voices of the young people who helped shape our nation's future.
