[MEDIA ADVISORY] Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi will on Saturday, 4 June 2022, attend the funeral of the three learners from Ratanda Primary and Khanya Lesedi Secondary School, who passed away after drinking an energy drink allegedly poisoned by their father, on Thursday, 26 May 2022.

The Ratanda Primary School's governing body is inviting the community of Ratanda to a candlelight service in memory of the Khoabane brothers which be held as follows:

Date : 2 June 2022 (Today)
Time: 16:00
Venue: Ratanda Primary's Sports ground

The community is requested to wear all black while all school learners are to wear their respective school uniforms.

A R10 donation for the family is kindly requested and we must all please come with our own candles.

Let us continue to support the Khoabane family during this difficult time.

The 2023 Online Admissions application period for Grade 1 and Grade 8 will begin on 22 July 2022 at 08:00 AM and it will close on 19 August 2022 at 00:00 AM.

Time: 7:30 am - 12:30
Venue: Ratanda Multipurpose Centre
Date: Saturday the 4th of June 2022

There has been a request that only the learners in the Affected classes which are Grade 10G & 8A (Khanya Lesedi Sports School of Specialisation) and the Grade 1 Class from Ratanda Primary. Should come to the funeral.

Parents are encouraged to assist in making sure only learners from the above-mentioned classes are present at the funeral.

Members of the community are encouraged to come support the family during this difficult time.
