_Sayyiduna Abud Darda رضي الله عنه said:_

_“Be thrifty [with water] when making wudu, even if you are at the river bank.”_

Today being the blessed day of Friday, let us:

1. Recite Surah Kahf.
2. Engage in duaa.
3. Recite abundant Durood / Salaat & Salaam on Nabi ﷺ.

Tafseer of Surat-un-Nisaa (4), Verse 19:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا يَحِلُّ لَكُمْ أَنْ تَرِثُوا النِّسَاءَ كَرْهًا ۖ وَلَا تَعْضُلُوهُنَّ لِتَذْهَبُوا بِبَعْضِ مَا آتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ إِلَّا أَنْ يَأْتِينَ بِفَاحِشَةٍ مُبَيِّنَةٍ ۚ وَعَاشِرُوهُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ ۚ فَإِنْ كَرِهْتُمُوهُنَّ فَعَسَىٰ أَنْ تَكْرَهُوا شَيْئًا وَيَجْعَلَ اللهُ فِيهِ خَيْرًا كَثِيرًا

{19. O you who believe, it is not lawful for you to inherit women by compulsion, and do not treat them with harshness so that you may take away part of the Mahr you have given them, unless they have been guilty of open lewdness (immoral conduct). And live with them honourably (be kind to them). If you take a dislike to them, it may be that you dislike a thing and Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) brings through it a great deal of good.}

Before Islam the practice was that when a man dies, his male relatives used to inherit his wife. One of them could marry her, or give her away in marriage, or even prevent her from marrying. They had more right to her than her own family. The above verse was revealed preventing that practice.

Thursday

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ reported سيدنا Rasulullah ﷺ as saying:
Let him be humbled into dust; let him be humbled into dust. It was said: Allah's Messenger, who is he? He said: He who sees either of his parents during their old age or he sees both of them, but he does not enter Jannah.

Tafseer of Surat-un-Nisaa (4), Verse 18:

وَلَيْسَتِ التَّوْبَةُ لِلَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ السَّيِّئَاتِ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا حَضَرَ أَحَدَهُمُ الْمَوْتُ قَالَ إِنِّي تُبْتُ الْآنَ وَلَا الَّذِينَ يَمُوتُونَ وَهُمْ كُفَّارٌ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ أَعْتَدْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا

{18. And repentance is not (accepted) for those who continue to do evil deeds until, when death approaches one of them he says: "Now I repent"; nor of those who die rejecting faith. For them We have prepared a painful punishment.}

*Wednesday يوم الأربعاء*

_Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reports that Rasulullah ﷺ said:_

*O Abu Hurayrah! When you (intend to) make wudu, then say:*

*Bismillahi wal hamdulillah*

*for the guarding angels will continue writing rewards until you break that wudu.*

Continuation of the Tafseer of Surat-un-Nisaa (4), Verse 17:

فَأُولَٰئِكَ يَتُوبُ اللهُ عَلَيْهِمْ
{to them will Allah turn}

Tawbah means ‘to turn’.
When a servant commits a sin, he turns away from Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) and Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) turns away from him.
If the servant turns to Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) in sincere repentance, then Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) turns to him in mercy and forgives him.

{for Allah is All-Knowing, Most Wise}
Part of Allah’s (سبحانه وتعالى) knowledge is knowing who is sincere and who is not, and He will judge each person in the manner he deserves, according to His wisdom, for He is All-Knowing, Most Wise.

Tafseer of Surat-un-Nisaa (4), Verse 16:

وَاللَّذَانِ يَأْتِيَانِهَا مِنْكُمْ فَآذُوهُمَا ۖ فَإِنْ تَابَا وَأَصْلَحَا فَأَعْرِضُوا عَنْهُمَا ۗ إِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ تَوَّابًا رَحِيمًا

{16. If two among you are guilty of it (illegal sexual in*******se), punish them both. Then if they repent and mend their ways, leave them alone; for Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) is ever Accepting of repentance, Most Merciful.}

*Tuesday يوم الثلاثاء*

_Sayyiduna Ibn ‘Abbas رضي الله عنهما reported that Allah’s Messenger ﷺ said:_

*“Purify these bodies and Allah will purify you, for there is no slave who goes to sleep in a state of purity/wudhu but an Angel spends the night with him, and every time he turns over, [the Angel] says, ‘O Allah! Forgive Your slave, for he went to bed in a state of purity/wudhu.”*

Tafseer of Surat-un-Nisaa (4), Verse 14:

وَمَنْ يَعْصِ اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَيَتَعَدَّ حُدُودَهُ يُدْخِلْهُ نَارًا خَالِدًا فِيهَا وَلَهُ عَذَابٌ مُهِينٌ

{14. And whoever disobeys Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) and His Messenger (ﷺ), and transgresses His limits, He will admit him into a fire, to abide therein forever. And for him will be a humiliating punishment.}

Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) said that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَعْمَلُ أَوِ الْمَرْأَةَ بِطَاعَةِ اللهِ سِتِّينَ سَنَةً، ثُمَّ يَحْضُرُهُمَا الْمَوْتُ، فَيُضَارَّانِ فِي الْوَصِيَّـةِ، فَتَجِبُ لَهُمَا النَّار

“A man or a woman might perform actions in obedience to Allah for sixty years, then when they are near death, they cause harm through their will, so the Fire becomes compulsory for them.”

_Sayyiduna Abu Malik Al Ash’ari رضي الله عنه reported that Nabi ﷺ said:_

*“Six deeds/qualities are from goodness;*
1. Fighting the enemies of Allah with the sword,
2. Fasting on a [hot] summer’s day,
3. Patience at the time of a calamity,
4. Abandoning arguing, even though you are on the truth,
5. Hastening the performance of Salah on a cloudy day, (referring to Asr salah, as one may not see the sun set),
6. Making wudhu [properly] on a wintry day.”

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah ‎رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ reported سيدنا Rasulullah ﷺ as saying:
Do not revile my Companions, do not revile my Companions. By Him in Whose Hand is my life, if one amongst you would have spent as much gold as Uhud it would not amount to as much as that given on behalf of one of them or (even) half of it.
