A short story is basically a short written story.
When the story is told we often refere to this as NARRATION' the person who tells the story the narrator, the narration can be in first person the person who tells the story was there is involved in the actions they will use words such as I,My,we,us to give a sense of involvement. Then there is third person narration the narrator is not be involved in the story.
A short story has Characters👩‍🎓👩‍🏫👩‍🌾🧑👩‍🔧👩‍🏭🧓👴🧑👧: the people in the story (just like me and you we want something in life when when we desire we will work hard to get what we want.) In the opening of the story we will learn about the desires of the character. You know life mos! When you want to achieve things you will encounter problems in getting what you want. Life has obstacles! The CONFLICT happens, People and things get in your way so the story rises the tension rises while the character deals with the problems, this is the PLOT of the story then the story will rise to reach a crisis this is a turning point the do or die of the person things get difficult for the character they make life changing decisions to be or not to be- Zimbi Ndaba madoda, ho Hobe jwale. CLIMAX is reached after the turning point there is a RESOLUTION the character gets what is wanted or does not get it, then finally the CLOSURE(denouement it means to untie) the knots of the conflict are unravelled

Hi guys!👋 when are you writing your paper two and what are you doing in order to prepare?📚📙📓🤓

🗣👥👤🙋
👋🤓 The secret to master your short stories is to read them📖 I know most of you don't like reading🙊 reading your stories allows you to know the sequence of events, who? Did what? When? Where? Why? And how exactly it happened? This also helps you in answering the contextual questions 📝 ...contextual means in context they will never ask you to write about a story you did not do that will be out of context. So don't panic 😵😰😱😨when you have to answer contextual questions they will give you an "extract " which will be any part of the story read it thus will help refresh your memory about the story, the trick is most of the questions are not based on the extract 🙆🙄😜so you have to know your story🙇📖👌phela it's not a comprehension😹😪even when they say go to line what what, hey! you will never find the answer its just used as a point of reference in many cases😕 know your story as a whole and have a keen understanding of it 👍Look👀 at the mark allocation ☑💯let it give you an idea of the length of your answer📃.

Any questions So far??
