Finally, the group leaders deserve special mention. Leaving family and loved ones behind for nine days is not easy, but without this sacrifice Odyssey cannot happen.

ODYSSEY XI
Without the generosity of Isuzu, running Odyssey safely would be nigh impossible. The four Isuzus proved their worth in transporting backpacks and bicycles everyday. The second food drop would be unthinkable without these vehicles as many overnight sites are only accessible with 4x4s. On the last day, the Isuzus are filled with weary Midstreamers as they are extracted from their various finishing points.

No Odyssey is possible without the unwavering dedication and commitment of the support staff - medics, mountain guide, bike mechanic, river guides, and bus drivers.

An immense gratitude goes to Powerfleet Africa who ensured that we could track our groups at all times during Odyssey. Even if they weren’t sure where they were, the operational team had eyes on them at all times!

En skielik is vanjaar se Odyssey so te sê klaar. Groot was die blydskap toe die groepe mekaar weer gesien het - die meisies by Mac Country Estate en die seuns by Silver Mist.
