What a fantastic performance from our girls! 🔥⚽ Our GHS Girls Soccer team put on an incredible display against Hermannsburg, securing a convincing **7–0 victory!** 🎉👏

From the first whistle to the final whistle, the girls showed great teamwork, determination and skill, dominating the game and keeping the pressure on throughout. 💪✨

Greytown High School clinched a dominant victory at the landmark 50th edition of the Midlands Co-Ed Inter-high Athletics Championship, taking top honors with a staggering total of 674 points.

Historical Context
The Inaugural Meet: The tradition began in 1976 with seven participating schools: Greytown, Howick, Wartburg, Hermannsburg, Ixopo, Voortrekker, and Estcourt.

First Champions: Ixopo High School won the inaugural event in 1976, setting off five decades of fierce local athletic rivalry.
All-Time Champions Record
Tied at the Top: With this historic 50th-edition victory—their fourth consecutive win (2023, 2024, 2025, and now 2026)—Greytown High School has officially won the championship 13 times.
Equaling Treverton: This 13th title officially draws Greytown level with Treverton College for the most overall victories in inter-high history. Estcourt High School sits third on the historic leaderboard with 9 overall titles.
