Do positive affirmations work? Very much so. I used to struggle when being given a compliment until I realised it was because I didn't believe it. I did not feel worthy. I began daily affirmations and in the beginning it felt a bit unnatural. Day after day I kept at it. Start with one thing and repeat until you believe it, do things to reinforce your belief. Make a habit of reminding yourself just how awesome you are!⁠

Finding the balance to do the things that nourish your soul whilst the demands of life are never ending is hard. Time is luxury for most. Every waking moment is accounted for. I have often come to the end of the day and wonder where did the hours go. I've had to be regimented in finding time to just prioritise me. In that time I have found that by giving myself that time, I am more present in my work and family life.

We all have dreams. Changing them to reality can be daunting. Define your dream, set a goal, work out what you need to do to reach your goal. Form a habit of working towards your goal everyday. You WILL have setbacks and bad days. That's fine. Nothing worth doing is ever easy.
