The is a challenge that aims to excite young people and encourage them to engage with the Training of Trainers online course and Amanzi for Food materials.

The encourages all youth members to develop their own demonstration sites using the Rainwater harvesting and conservation practices that they have learned through engaging with the the online course or exploring the Amanzi for Food material. This challenge asks for video on the experience of demonstrating productive demonstration sites offering up the chance for challenge participant to win one of three laptop prizes.

Are you a farmer, lecturer, extension officer, agricultural student or just interested in developing your own back yard into a thriving productive garden? Amanzi for Food is excited to launch their new through several materials that can be used to develop productive, organic, water saving vegetables gardens. Participants are taught different methods of rainwater harvesting and water conservation to enable them to use our precious water resources efficiently.

You can either browse the course material or register to become an official course participant eligible to receive a Rhodes University certification.

Background: The Water Research Commission (WRC) cordially invites stakeholders to attend the WRC Corporate Plan Development session looking at the upcoming five-year cycle 2021/26. As a national public agency, the WRC actively strives to support the Government of South Africa in achieving its strategic outcomes, with particular reference to the National Development Plan (NDP) objectives as well as the Corporate Plan (Annual Performance Plan) of the Department and the performance agreement of the Minister of Human Settlements, Water and Sanitation. This process is conducted to develop the Corporate Plan which is characterised by important elements. Stakeholder consultation is an ongoing and iterative process that incorporates discussions and recommendations from the WRC stakeholders in various forums. The consultative process employs both forecasting and back-casting approaches to the development of strategic objectives, involving an analysis of the WRC’s current positioning in the sector as well as a reflection on potential developments in the external organisational environment that could have an impact on the five-year planning cycle.

This looks like something our network(s) surely should participate in and could strengthen work through. The Imvotho Bubomi Learning Network, Sinakekela Sibusiso Semanti Learning Network and the Learning network are geographically in the Eastern Cape, Mpumalanga&Limpopo and North West Provinces respectively. Transboundary water governance through multistakeholder network members as well as through the inevitable transprovincial networking potential of the group, is a sure fit for the Amanzi for Food project network. The project network being all who have participated in the project as researchers, facilitators, participants, followers of this page etc...
