Building update: The Kyle Rippon Cricket Clubhouse on Gane Field is coming along beautifully! The Clubhouse will honour Old Kingswoodian, Mr Kyle Rippon (OK 1954), whose lifelong love of cricket and commitment to Kingswood serves as an inspiration to future generations of Kingswood cricketers. The development of the Kyle Rippon Cricket Clubhouse has been made possible through the generous support of the Rippon family, who together with close friends and Old Kingswoodians have made this project possible. The clubhouse represents a significant investment in cricket at Kingswood College and strengthens our proud cricketing heritage while providing a purposeful space in which parents, staff and our community can gather.
Construction is expected to continue for the remainder of the year, with the aim of opening early in 2027. Once complete, the Kyle Rippon Cricket Clubhouse will stand as the home of cricket at Kingswood, enriching the tradition of cricket at our school.

Wishing Kingswood's 1st team Water Polo Captain, Megan Sheard, all the best as she heads off to the World Aquatics U18 Women's Championship in Tenerife, Spain, from 16 to 23 August.
We are so proud of her achievement as her latest selection is a real testament to the years of dedication, perseverance and hard work that she has put in, and reflects the strength of Kingswood College's water polo programme, outstanding coaches and a culture that encourages pupils to pursue excellence.
For Megan, who grew up on a farm outside Cathcart in the Eastern Cape, the journey began in Grade 4 when she first picked up a water polo ball with a friend. "I had so much fun and immediately fell in love with the sport," she recalls. Since then, she has represented Eastern Province from Grade 7 and previously earned South African colours when she travelled to Türkiye with the U16 national team in Grade 10.
Being selected for the U18 World Championship is, she says, her greatest sporting achievement to date. She attributes her success to resilience and determination. "I never gave up when things became difficult, especially with all the training and preparation before tournaments. I always try to push myself to become better after every practice and training session."
Looking ahead to the tournament in Spain, Megan hopes to gain valuable international experience and learn from players around the world.
Megan is a natural leader and also captains the Kingswood 1st hockey team, and we are sure she will be a great assett to the South African team.

Looking back to one of the highlights of the 2nd term for our U13s was their tour of the Garden Route at the end of term, where they got to play hockey and netball at schools along the way and also enjoyed some fun cultural activities including this special elephant interaction at Indalu Game Reserve.

Well done to the Kingswood debaters. Our seniors ended the Provincial tournament ranked 14th out of 30 teams, after winning three of their six rounds.
The Juniors ranked 8th, unfortunately losing their debate in the plate semi-finals. Congratulations to Dag Saul, who has been selected as part of the Eastern Cape squad. He will now undergo further trials before a final team is decided.
