The Diocesan School for Girls (DSG), one of the oldest girls’ schools in South Africa, values its tradition of excellence in all spheres but also continually strives to be at the cutting edge of educational trends. Our aim is to develop girls who are well-grounded, forward-thinking, critical problem-solvers who are empathic to others. At the end of her time in the Junior School, a DSG girl will be more than ready to embark on her Senior School career and confidently anticipate the many opportunities and challenges awaiting her. She will be participative and ready to enjoy all that the diverse programme has to offer her. The DSG Junior School occupies its own dedicated position on the beautiful DSG campus where the girls can play freely according to their own developmental needs. However, the girls share the superior facilities with the Senior School and so are offered a wide choice of sporting codes and cultural opportunities, all undergirded by a strong spiritual foundation.

Well done to our top 4 Junior Tennis players.

Emma Watson, Julia Mackenzie, Rebecca Scheckter and Natasha White, truly are rising stars!

Yesterday, our girls played in the first round of the Paribas Rising Stars Challenge, winning this round convincingly. The girls now move on to the regional trials that will be held in Makhanda on the 16th of September. Should our girls win the next round, they progress to the National Championships held in Pretoria later this year.
