Today we remember iconic South African artist Brenda Fassie, affectionately known as MaBrrr, who passed away 16 years ago today. Brenda's music helped shape the South African sound and today she lives on through her incredible songs.

Brenda's songs are perfect examples of the music that we hope to honour through sheet music arrangements for instrument learners. Which other artists do you think have defined the South African sound? Take our survey: http://playmzansi.co.za/survey
