Temporary Employment Opportunity!

The school is currently looking for a Temporary English FAL grade 4 and 5 ( intermediate phase ). When schools re-open please could interested candidates come to the school and get application forms on the 19th of July 2021 .

This is to report that schools are closing tomorrow ( 30th of June) , in line with the announcement made by the President . Learners will be expected back at school on the 19th of July according to their groups .

Due to the ongoing strike in Makhanda , the school stakeholders , upon assessing the situation , has decided that school will be suspended until the 28th of May (Friday) . However , we will continue to monitor the sitauatjon and adjust the return date going forward .

Good afternoon Archie Mbolekwa community ,

We are delighted to report that our Marimba band was invited to play and entertain guests today at the Albany Museum. We are proud of to have had these ambassadors for our school go out and represent our school well . This band is growing from strength to strength and we hope that more opportunities are presented to them to showcase their skills.

We thank Ms Joba ( our Deputy Principal ) as well as Miss Anelisa Songongo for accompanying the band . They report that it was a fun and joyous occasion for all those present .

A beautiful morning today at our school grounds as Grades R to 2 were being taught , by Ms Mtshizana, about the beautiful rainbow which appeared over our school . It was such an exciting view for grade R learners !

Today nature ensured that we reaffirmed that learning goes beyond the classroom 🌈.

Good Morning to the Archie Mbolekwa Community .

Please join us in celebrating one of our own . The term ended on a high and celebratory note as one of our foundation phase teachers was recognized by Funda Wande for her contributions in enriching the minds of our learners . Mrs Ngcete-Nkwinti did exceptional well to be recognized in her contributions to literacy in the foundation phase . Over the holiday , a graduation ceremony was held to celebrate her and her counter parts for their amazing achievements . We hope that she continues to be dedicated and enthusiastic about teaching and enriching the young minds that come through our school gates , upwards and onwards !!! .

This morning we were visiting by two lovely ladies form the Deoartment of social development. They spoke to our grade 6 and 7 classes to educate our learners about gender based violence . The session was very informative and included some insights from the learners themselves. They also used the opportunity to hand out sanitary pads to our female students . We thank them greatly for this initiative .

It is with pride that we announce our leadership team. These are the leaders for the year 2021 . We hope they do a good job in assisting teachers keep everything in at the schools . Here they are holding tablets donated to the school by Rhodes University’s Community engagement club . This is to allow our leadership team to be in constant communication with Rhodes.
