Holy Cross School

Last week, Akhelethu, Rethabile and Zingce took part in the regional EMS spelling bee competition. They did exceptionally well and we are so proud of them!

Well done to the Grade 7 Holy Cross learners who made it to this years regional Eskom Science Expo. It was a long but enjoyable day for all with some familiar faces and new friends 🧬 🧪

It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the untimely passing of Mr Mdu (Mdumisani Ngcozana) our former Grade 1 teacher. Mr Mdu left us towards the end of 2023 for a post at Good Shepherd. He will be remembered for his joking in the classroom and staffroom, his nicknames for everyone, his drumming and dancing as well as his fierce intelligence and passion for isiXhosa. He was a teacher who inspired hope in his learners and a significant light has been lost from this world. May his soul rest in peace and may his friends and family find comfort.

Day 2 of Reading Camp included a fun hike and scavenger hunt around Assegaai Trails

Today we welcomed our learners to Assegaai for Day 1 of their Reading Camp. They enjoyed a game drive at Amakhala Game Reserve and were thrilled to see a variety of wildlife. A wonderful start to an exciting week!💕🥳

The Grade 7s enjoyed the Art at Carinus on the first day of fest and had the opportunity to engage with the artists.
