A quick release of this marvelous praying mantis back into the garden of Fern House Montessori 🌿

I may have become deeply engrossed and now have approximately 10 minutes of footage of a mantis just sitting there 😂 but by the end it became curious about me too and as seen in the last clip climbed right into my phone.

Another bug hunt at Fern House Montessori 🌿 today I searched for Praying Mantis and got lucky! One tiny brown baby and a big grumpy green one!

I also had to catch tiny jumping bugs for their dinner and I don't actually enjoy touching creepy crawlies 😅

All worth it to inspire interest in the natural world 💚

Literacy materials at Fern House Montessori are off their shelf, boxed up and ready to be sorted through - another day! 💚

This is the face of regret at Fern House Montessori as I get back to the process of packing away (and sorting through) my equipment — the genuine Montessori stuff and all the extras that have accumulated along the way.

So that until I receive the special consent that will allow me to use my space as the school it was intended to be, I can ensure all equipment stays in good condition and perhaps use the space for something else.

Why I feel compelled to tackle this massive task in the middle of a house renovation and while I’m unwell, I do not understand.

A successful bug hunt at Fern House Montessori 🌿 I found two living Fruit Chafer Beetles - though they did put on a convincing show about the being alive part.

We did a thing at Fern House Montessori!
The boy guinea pigs have their new (massive in comparison) enclosure and the girls have their new easy to open lids! The relief is immense as opening them previously required two hands and strength training 😂 here's to happy piggies at Fern House Montessori 🌿💚

Today's the day I pack up the Montessori equipment(actually just carried and squished it all into one room) for the sake of the imminent renovation project happening in my main house!

Finally an actual update for Fern House Montessori 🌿
Both a giant and a tiny step towards my end goal of opening this space as a Montessori Preschool again.
New Guinea pig enclosures are planned for this weekend! 🤞🏻 And maybe even that cupboard too.

I had plans for Fern House Montessori over this holiday but they've changed! or atleast been delayed for a while. So for now I'm just going to stay focused on ECD studies with .collective , hopefully do some rebuilding at Fern House Montessori and plan and prep some activities for next term💚
