Fern House Montessori

Fern House Montessori Petite Playschool is going to have to be packed up and the space re-created as something that is NOT a preschool until such time as we are awarded Special Consent to run an ECD 🥲 I am considering which alternative is most viable and which one I actually want to do! but for now I need to start packing some stuff up and making space for this new side quest 💚

Special consent for Fern House Montessori here we come! Slowly... But still. And in the meantime.... I'm still figuring that part out. Play space? Montessori Mommy and me classes? Throw your ideas my way 💚

Finding a path forward for Fern House Montessori has been a challenge but with the help of David Briginshaw from theplanninginitiative.co.za I now have facts to work with 💚 A huge Thank you to Erin for reaching out over this platform just to help me by connecting us (and also for coming to visit!)

This gorgeous gift has not only lifted my spirits but given me tools to help me track everything I need to plan and do - and also the stars to reward myself for it ⭐️ Thank you again for such a lovely treat and to everyone who has taken the time to send me their encouragements. I've been avoiding Fern House Montessori and trying to gather all the information I need to make the decisions that need to be made... I'm a bit closer, I think. Not giving up or changing strategies yet thanks to the encouragement from all of you 💚 in the meantime I've thrown myself into my ECD studies with .collective and spent time my family.

We - Fern House Montessori - had a meeting with a consultant to determine what must be done to tick every box and gain this space appropriate land usage rights... Turns out there are a lot of boxes and with them comes a LOT of expenses. Now I have to decide if they're all worth it, if it's viable at all or if a different space or a different plan would be more suitable.

Another, unexpected, speed bump at Fern House Montessori 🤦🏼‍♀️ but at least I have my mainstream ECD studies through .collective with to keep me occupied! P.S. they have a special running on this course!

A family came to visit Fern House Montessori 🌿
So a quick reset getting the space ready, plus the addition of cushions AND a new alphabet tray!
Also, look! She LOVED the blackboard💚

Fern House Montessori got some custom mattresses made and delivered! 🌿 I'm excited, they are fantastic! Custom size medium density foam, with waterproofing and custom pillowcase style covers! Made with such care and attention to detail by Nikki 💚 Did I mention they are custom?! I feel so fancy 😂
