FULTON IS CELEBRATING!

We are incredibly proud to announce that two of our talented learners, Esihle and Senzo, have been selected among the TOP 12 Chalkboard Slammers for this year’s Poetry Africa Festival! 🎤📖✨

This is an outstanding achievement and a wonderful recognition of their talent, creativity, hard work and powerful voices. To be selected among the Top 12 is no small feat!

As learners at Fulton School for the Deaf, Esihle and Senzo continue to show that every voice deserves to be heard. Their achievement is a testament to their passion for poetry and the incredible potential of our Deaf learners. 💙

We would also like to congratulate and thank UKZN and Poetry Africa for creating opportunities that allow young poets to express themselves, develop their artistic talents and share their voices with the world.

The Grade 12s successfully completed their cooking practical for Consumer Studies today. The food speaks for itself, a culinary accomplishment indeed. We are so proud of you and wish you well for finals.

SKILLS IN ACTION. TALENT UNLEASHED. CREATIVITY WITHOUT LIMITS!

Today’s assembly was a beautiful celebration of the incredible skills, creativity, and potential of our TO and SID learners!

From carpentry to fabric painting 🎨, our learners proudly showcased the amazing work they have been doing through their skills development programme with Embo — and WOW, did they impress! 🔥

👜 Beautifully hand-painted bags
🛋️ Gorgeous fabric-designed cushion covers
👕 Stunning, one-of-a-kind tie-and-dye T-shirts and jumpers

Every piece was bursting with colour, creativity and personality! The designs were bold, beautiful and absolutely unique — proving once again that when learners are given the opportunity, the right skills and the space to create, there is no limit to what they can achieve.

A very special thank you to Anthea from Embo for being part of this incredible journey, and to Matthew, who generously volunteered his time and expertise to teach our learners the special tie-and-dye technique. Your contribution has helped create an experience our learners will never forget. 💙

We could not be more proud of every learner who stood tall and showed off their hard work today. This is more than skills development — this is confidence, independence, creativity and future opportunities in the making!

Our Principal, Odette Rademaker Swift, knows ALL her learners and staff by our respective sign names because she makes it her business to know!

She meets and greets every awesome new learner and their beautiful families on enrolment. This is how our Fulton Family starts, thrives, and grows.
