Best last day of term ever? Possibly. 🏎️

Our inter-house soap box races brought out the competitive spirit in everyone, including the staff, who lined up against our Grade 9s and gave it everything they had. The campus was loud, the races were fast and the fun was non-stop.

These old photos of our campus were shared with us by St George’s alumnus, John Rossouw - some dating back to the 1930s, with another believed to be from the 1960s.

So great to see how much history these buildings hold.

There's something special about a first away match. ⚽

Our Junior Prep soccer team pulled on their kits, made the trip to fellow ThriveEd school Skye College and took the field for the very first time away from home.

This term, our students journeyed through something a little different: the Alpha Youth Series.

Alpha is a programme run in more than a hundred countries that gives young people space to explore the big questions of life, faith and purpose. Ours ran over 10 weeks, presented by our youth pastor Jaco alongside Tshepo from - each week something to watch, a real conversation, and time to connect, as students worked through the questions underneath so much of life: Who is Jesus? Why did He die? How do I pray? What does it actually mean to follow Him?

We loved watching students lean in: asking the honest questions and growing in confidence as they discovered faith for themselves.

Alpha is normally something you'd find in a church or youth group, not on a school timetable. Making room for it in the school week mattered to us, and watching what it did for the students this term made us glad we did!

As part of their Unit of Inquiry on Life Under the Sea, our Grade 2 children chose a sea creature to research and then shared what they discovered with the class. The ocean is full of wonder and so are these children.

Dr. Seuss would approve. 🎉

Grade 00 celebrated Wacky Wednesday in the best possible way, inspired by the classic Dr. Seuss book and dressed to match. The wackier, the better.
