Founded in 2014 as a collaboration between the Tshimologong Precinct and the Wits School of Arts Digital Arts Department, FAKUGESI DIGITAL festival takes as its starting point the idea that for innovation with technology to succeed, a strong connection needs to be made between African cultural practices and creative encounters.

It is rooted in showcasing and developing skills in technology, art and culture in Africa, and is the only one of its kind on the continent.

The Fak’ugesi African Digital Innovation Festival is at the forefront of Africa’s culture and technology scene.

UBambo Mathematics kids will be there to celebrate the FAKUGESI 10th ANNIVERSARY!

Greetings to all parents

Let your child join us this Saturday at Musuem Africa in Newtown for a fun filled learning experience in preparation for the upcoming Maths.

We will be re-learning, revising and discussing key concepts in past exam papers for each grade. Your child will receive 2x copies of Maths past exams for their grade.

We will also take your child on a guided tour of the museum and do Yoga together with the children in between the study time. We have a few extra Yoga mats to use for the day.

We look forward to seeing your young mathematician there!

This Geometry workshop aims to develop spatial and proportional reasoning in children, and is one of a series of Geometric Art workshops that are an opportunity for your child to experience practical, sophisticated, critical thinking and geometric reasoning skills that apply to mathematics as well as other domains such as the Arts and Design industries.

Here is our Freedom day activity. Learners are advised to research and revise their answers before recording their videos. Look out for the weather as it is best to record in the day time when it is sunny. Ask a parent/sibling/friend to help you to record your video, maximum 30 seconds.
