Just 4 years ago we were saying happy retirement to you, Mrs Hendry. You refused to let retirement slow you down. Happy and full of energy and never missing an opportunity to come back to Wychwood to teach your kids. On the first day of this year you were at the entrance of the school to welcome our new babies because you were home .. Wychwood Primary will always be your home. Today we had to say "Till we meet again". We know that heaven will be filled with your quirky laughter and the sound of your feet dancing, and you will greet everyone with "Hello my Sugar". While, here on earth, we see you in everything special and gifted with your creative hands. Your laughter echos through our corridors, your kindness is felt in every staffroom conversation and your care shaped countless young lives. Your Wychwood Children already miss you. Though we grieve your passing .. we chose to remember you - joyful, compassionate, hard working and deeply devoted to all of us. Your legacy is woven into the fabric of this community and your influence will continue in the classrooms you once filled with such dedication. Thank you for your passion for life that you shared with each of us .. you remain in our hearts Wen, always.

Today we said goodbye to a truly remarkable lady who has touched the lives of so many learners at our school... made us all want to be better people .. and demonstrated the love of God every time that she entered a room. Mrs Wright, we have loved you from day one and we will miss you (even the learners who drove you crazy) .. you are a light that will shine brightly in our school for many years to come. Enjoy not taking home mountains of work to mark, and enjoy waking up when the sun rises ... enjoy your retirement and well deserved rest.
