❤️ A message to the women of South Africa
To every woman in South Africa who is experiencing gender-based violence:
We see you. We hear you. And most importantly, we believe you.
If you are living through violence, remember that what is happening to you is not your fault. You do not deserve to be hurt, threatened, controlled, humiliated or made to feel powerless. You deserve to live a life where you feel safe, respected and valued.
You may feel afraid. You may feel trapped. You may feel like no one will understand. But please remember: you are not alone.
Your voice matters. Your life matters. Your story matters.
And to every person reading this — let us be part of the change. Listen without judgement. Believe survivors. Speak up against violence. Support those who need help. Create communities where women feel safe.
No woman should have to live in fear.
No woman should suffer in silence.
No woman should stand alone.
Together, we can build a South Africa where every woman can live, love, work and dream in safety. ❤️
