A special invitation was sent out to Hennie Delport of Phoebus Apollo Aviation early last week to bring his Boeing Stearman to the Bethlehem airshow as a static display on the day of the airshow. This was certainly a feather in Hennie Delport cap been asked to visit an Airshow. P.s. Hennie Delport never wears a cap. I never seen Hennie prouder enjoying an airshow with his team around him.

International Air Transport Association (IATA) has presented data showing Egypt’s strong long-term aviation growth outlook, with passenger demand forecast to grow above the global average through 2050.
Under IATA’s mid-range scenario, demand in Egypt is expected to grow by 3.4% annually from 2024 to 2050, compared with a global average of 3.1%. In the high-range scenario, demand is forecast to grow by 3.8% annually.
IATA says the opportunity is significant, but future growth will need to be supported by cost-effective infrastructure, globally aligned regulation and progress on sustainability.
The organisation has also called for early and meaningful consultation with airline users as Egypt invests in airport and ANSP infrastructure, including developments at Cairo International Airport, Alexandria International Airport and Sphinx International Airport.
Sustainable aviation fuel is also part of the picture, with IATA encouraging continued government-industry collaboration to support SAF development and Egypt’s ambition to become a regional hub for lower-carbon aviation.
