THE PROTECTOR'S PLEA
My child, you'll grow and find your way,
A bright world waits for you each day.
But dark things hide, I hear a warning sound,
I worry for you in this world around.
Some people grow cold, their kindness gone,
They use others, they do them wrong.
But keep your love strong, let it always shine,
Goodness is powerful, a treasure to find.
Look past the fake smiles and hidden lies,
Trust your wisdom, see through their disguise.
Let kindness protect you, and be smart and wise,
Follow the truth, where honesty lies.
The world will challenge you, in many ways,
But you have the strength for all your days.
Walk this path bravely, with courage and might,
Even the lost deserve to find light.
One day you'll understand what I teach,
The importance of your name, a goal to reach.
Don't let darkness steal your bright light,
The world needs hope, so keep up the fight.
Grow strong, my child, stay true to your heart,
Maybe, just maybe, you'll change the world with your part.
The Antidote Math
MATHS AND ACCOUNTING TUTORS [GRADES: 7-12]
MY GOOD TEACHER: “FAILURE”
I never knew how good you were,
Each time I tried, you were there to show
Where I was wrong, where I could grow.
The immediate feedback used to hurt,
Even now, it still stings and burns.
I grew up being told how bad you are,
All my teachers and lecturers,
Taught me to fear and hate you,
Not just my teachers,
But my mother too,
Instilled a deep resentment for you.
None of them knew how good a teacher you were,
And still are, in every stumble, in every scar.
I’m even scared to call you by your real name,
Because no one agrees with me,
That you are good, that you bring the flame.
Your great work is the pride of:
J.K. Rowling, who faced rejection,
Now the beloved author of Harry Potter's collection.
Albert Einstein, deemed a failure in math,
Yet now revered as a genius, lighting our path.
Walt Disney, fired for lack of imagination,
But created Mickey Mouse, sparking worldwide fascination.
Michael Jordan, cut from his high school team,
Yet became basketball’s brightest gleam.
Oprah Winfrey, dismissed from her television role,
Now the queen of talk shows, touching every soul.
It took me time to realize your greatness,
But today, with gratitude, I confess,
Thank you, the teacher of all teachers,
My good teacher, Failure,
For making me better, for making me more.
THE DREAMER
In the quiet of each day, I gaze upon my reflection,
Questioning if the world is meant for every soul's selection.
Do some wander aimlessly, seeking where they truly belong,
While others march with purpose, to a melodic life's song?
As I peer into the mirror, doubts dance in my mind's maze,
Wondering if I'm lost, in life's intricate, puzzling craze.
Yet within me stirs a dreamer, with visions bold and bright,
Guiding me through shadows, towards the beacon of light.
Every dawn brings trials, hurdles to leap, and strife to face,
But surrendering to defeat, I refuse, with steadfast grace.
For within the tapestry of my dreams lies a thread so pure,
Leading me through the labyrinth, towards destiny's allure.
With each step forward, uncertainty wraps around like mist,
But in the whispers of my heart, faith firmly does persist.
I chase after my dreams, through valleys deep and steep,
Knowing each endeavour brings me closer to the summit's keep.
In the ebb and flow of life, I embrace the journey's tide,
Growth blooms from challenges, where courage does abide.
Resilient, I rise, from the ashes of trials and tears,
For within every setback, resilience conquers fears.
I am the dreamer, seeker of purpose, voyager of fate,
Carving my path through the cosmos, with resolve innate.
In the tapestry of existence, I weave my story's seams,
Embracing the unknown, for it holds the essence of dreams.

THE MISSING KEY
In a town named Enigma, a tale unfolds,
Of Meja, the dreamer, with stories untold.
A whispering wind, a mystery to free,
The Missing Key held by Muzondi.
Zamazama, the explorer, with maps in hand,
Silas, the thinker, with ideas so grand.
Robert, the artist, painted skies so blue,
In this enigma town where dreams come true.
Edmore, the wanderer, under moonlit night,
With Singana, the poet, weaving words so light.
Maziti, the singer, melodies in the air,
Silhouetted shadows, secrets to share.
Sigauke, the guardian, stood strong and tall,
As Taedza, the scholar, sought answers to call.
Phiri Gift, the seer, saw beyond the mist,
In Enigma, the key to the riddle exists.
Through alleys of whispers, where shadows conspire,
They sought the Missing Key, a quest to acquire.
In the heart of the town, where secrets entwine,
A tapestry woven by hands divine.
Meja's dreams intertwined with the night,
Muzondi's key gleaming in the soft twilight.
Zamazama uncovered paths unknown,
Silas and Robert, creativity sown.
Edmore's footsteps echoed in quiet lanes,
Singana's verses, like gentle rains.
Maziti's song, a haunting refrain,
In the puzzle of Enigma, all would gain.
Sigauke guarded the secrets so deep,
Taedza deciphered, no secret to keep.
Phiri Gift gazed into the beyond,
As the Missing Key, in Enigma, responded.
Through the labyrinth of shadows, they tread,
The Missing Key found; the enigma shed.
A town of dreams, where legends align,
In the echoes of Enigma, a tale to define.

LET'S DO MATHS
Numbers dance and equations sing,
A symphony of logic's wing.
Don't be scared, don't shy away,
Let's do maths and have some play!
Forget the fear, the doubt, the dread,
Maths is magic, in your head.
Patterns, puzzles, hidden keys,
Unlocking worlds with joyful ease.
Counting sheep beneath the moon,
Sharing cookies, afternoon.
Baking pies, a fragrant rhyme,
Maths is rhythm, one, two, time!
From towering trees to grains of sand,
Maths is woven, hand in hand.
Adding stars, dividing light,
Chasing shadows, taking flight.
So come along, my curious friend,
Let's journey where the numbers blend.
With open minds and hearts ablaze,
We'll conquer fears in playful ways.
Through mazes, curves, and spirals high,
Let's paint the rainbow in the sky.
With every sum, a joyful shout,
Maths is magic, all about!
So, grab your pencils, rulers too,
Notebooks waiting, just for you.
With curious eyes and laughter's gleam,
Let's do maths, a wondrous dream!
