Today, the cabin became a museum.
Visitors (the junior group) were welcomed by dinosaur experts, fossil hunters, geologists and nature enthusiasts eager to share their findings.
There were stories hidden in rocks, clues trapped in fossils, dinosaurs brought back to life through research and imagination, and countless fascinating facts about our amazing planet.
Behind every display was a learner (and some parents 😀) who had worked hard, thought creatively, and prepared with great care🦖🪨🌎 Thank you for the beautiful presentations!

Throughout the day, slippers shuffled through lessons, padded across playgrounds, and tiptoed through classrooms, all while helping to make dreams come true for children facing life threatening illnesses.
Thank you to all our families for supporting this wonderful cause. Today was a reminder that sometimes changing the world can start with something as simple as putting on a pair of slippers.

Every bird deserves a full tummy in winter… and every child deserves some sensory magic. 🐦❄️
Our giant seed bucket is not only a winter feast for the wild birds visiting our garden, but also a wonderful sensory adventure for the children. Scooping, digging, feeling, pouring, and playing, learning through nature, kindness, and messy fun. 💛

Our Friday ✨
The day began with the most beautiful sunrise before we jumped straight into a full and exciting day.
Computers, Afrikaans, baking healthy banana and oat waffles for snack, random objects reveal (so much fun! 🤣), Science, Maths, tuckshop, Cabaret showcase rehearsals… and finally, off to enjoy the weekend!

Yesterday morning, the cabin transformed into a full-scale dinosaur excavation site.
Teacher Tania ( Eduvet KIDS ) arrived prepared with a dinosaur themed science lesson… but what followed was pure prehistoric chaos.
The paleontologists carefully created their own dinosaur footprint moulds, proudly uncovering “rare species” from blobs of clay.
There was dressing up.There was dancing. There was enthusiastic stomping across the wooden floors loud enough to wake creatures from the Jurassic period.
I pretended not to care about the noise. 😂
Science was successful.

Some lessons don't fit into a workbook.
Cookie mining wasn't really about finding chocolate chips. It was about patience.
😀Learning looked like this today.

Today our Aron is representing his school at their Open Day, and my heart is so full watching him step into this role. ❤️
I am incredibly proud of the young man he is becoming. Beyond the academics, he is learning such valuable life skills; how to speak confidently to new people, how to approach others, how to communicate, encourage, and even “sell” an experience with passion and sincerity.
Although Aron is naturally outgoing, this is a completely different kind of growth for him. Representing a larger organisation comes with responsibility, confidence, and the courage to step outside of your comfort zone.
Watching him slowly grow into that confidence and learn how to carry himself with pride and purpose has been so special.
These are the moments that shape our children, learning to show up, to lead, to connect with others, and to believe in themselves.
So proud🌟

I love seeing how excited the senior learners get when they have the chance to create, explore, and get a little messy.
“Just because we’re bigger doesn’t mean we’ve outgrown play!” 😀 (Ivan)
Here, they made their own fossil moulds, learning through hands-on play, imagination, and discovery.
Because meaningful play isn’t just for little children… it’s how curious minds keep learning, growing, and connecting...and remembering important information.
Never stop playing. Never stop learning. 💚✨
What the hand does, the mind remembers👐🧠✨
