Today, the first two patients at Phillip Moyo CHC received their Lenacapavir injection as part of the Lenacapavir Activation. They also took their first two oral pills today and will take the remaining two tomorrow.
Lenacapavir is an important advancement in HIV prevention. While it helps protect against HIV, the use of protection remains essential to prevent other sexually transmitted infections.

The Gauteng Department of Health is currently conducting a Lenacapavir activation at Phillip Moyo Community Health Centre in Etwatwa, Daveyton. Community members will receive information about Lenacapavir and HIV prevention as part of ongoing efforts to reduce new HIV infections.
While Lenacapavir is an important advancement in HIV prevention, community members are reminded that it does not replace safe sexual practices. Please continue to use protection and make responsible choices to protect yourself and your loved ones.
