Happy World Teachers’ Day! 💙

Today, we celebrate the teachers who bring so much more than knowledge into the classroom.

Thank you for the patience, encouragement and care you show our students, and for the role you play in helping them grow in character, confidence and faith.

May God continue to guide you, strengthen you and bless the work you do each day. Your influence reaches far beyond the classroom and leaves a lasting mark on the lives of our students.

Thank you for all that you do and for the heart you bring to Glenwood.

U13 GIRLS HOCKEY | LEAGUE CHAMPIONS

What a season for our U13 girls! 🏑

The team finished their league campaign as League Champions, conceding just one goal throughout the entire season – an incredible achievement and a reflection of how hard this group has worked together.

But there is so much more to be proud of than the results.

Over the course of the season, we watched this group grow in confidence, learn from the tough moments and, most importantly, become a team. They backed one another, celebrated each other’s successes and played for each other right until the end.

A big thank you to our parents for being there week after week, cheering from the sidelines and supporting the girls throughout the season. You have been such an important part of their journey.

And to our girls – be proud. Not only of the trophy, but of the team you became along the way. 💙

What a season. What a team.

🔔 THE FINAL ASSEMBLY | CLASS OF 2026

The 23rd of September marked a very special milestone for our Class of 2026 as they gathered for their final assembly.

Each student rang the school bell, a special Glenwood tradition marking the end of their school journey, before adding to the Matric time capsule.

Every ending is a new beginning.

Class of 2026, may the sound of the bell remind you of where you came from, the people who walked beside you, and the faith that has helped shape you along the way.

As you step into what lies ahead, may you go with courage and with faith in God’s guidance as you begin this next season of your lives.

🌱 PLANTING FOR THE FUTURE 🌳

We recently welcomed Monica from the Landmark Foundation to Glenwood House, where she spent time with our Prep Enviro Club and our Grade 0 students from Little Glens.

Our students learnt about the important role trees play in our environment, as well as how to choose and correctly plant indigenous trees within our community. 🌿

A wonderful hands-on learning experience that will leave a lasting impact. We look forward to watching our newly planted trees grow tall and strong alongside our students! 💙💛

💙💛 A TOURNAMENT TO BE PROUD OF! 💙💛

Our Glenwood Water Polo Girls finished 8th overall at the National Coeds Tournament at Thomas More after a weekend of some very competitive water polo.

They started strongly with three wins:

Glenwood 16 – 4 Crawford
Glenwood 16 – 4 Reddam Umhlanga
Glenwood 7 – 6 Reddam Bedford

They continued to battle hard throughout the tournament, with two incredibly close finishes:

St Peter’s 6 – 5 Glenwood

Glenwood 5 – 6 Kingswood

Well done to the team and coaches for representing Glenwood so well.

🇿🇦 HERITAGE DAY AT LITTLE GLENS 🇿🇦

What a special celebration of the beautiful diversity that makes our Little Glens community so unique!

Our children celebrated Heritage Day by sharing experiences, traditions, delicious meals and treasured memories, while learning more about the different cultures and customs that form part of our community.

It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate who we are, where we come from, and the amazing traditions that make each of us unique. ❤️
