Introducing Apex Padel Academy 🏓

A business founded by two York High School alumni, Jelal and Abu Effendi.

🎓 Matriculating in 2007, Jelal represented South Western Districts in cricket and served on the Control Panel. Abu, who matriculated in 2012, earned Full Colours for Hockey and Service. Together, they have carried the passion, commitment and teamwork they demonstrated at school into an exciting new chapter.

🙌 With certified padel coaching, Apex Padel Academy aims to build your confidence and enhance your performance on the court. The venue also offers padel, pickleball and table tennis, equipment for sale, and a coffee shop on the premises. Looking for a venue for a social, year-end function, league event, team getaway or team-building experience? They've got that covered too!

And the best news? Their courts are indoors! 🌦

Go show your support by booking your next game! 🎾 We look forward to following and sharing more of their journey.

Celebrating the Class of 2020 🎓

Here's to a class that proved resilience, spirit, and perseverance will always leave a lasting legacy.

Their story is not only one of overcoming obstacles, but of embracing change, supporting one another, and making the most of every opportunity that came their way. 💙

The Class of 2020 experienced a school year unlike any other... They faced the uncertainty of Covid, adapted to new ways of learning and continued to show resilience, determination, and unwavering school spirit.

The Class of 2020 reminded us that true school spirit isn't defined by circumstances - it's defined by the people who carry it. 🫶

Meet Lazlyn April, a proud alumni member of York High School 💙

You may know him as York's Head Boy in 2020, or as a stellar rugby player for York's 1st Team. We know and love him for his spirit, pride, and heart for serving others. 🫶

A respected leader both on and off the field, Lazlyn navigated his Matric year during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. After which, he studied at North West University Potch, while simultaneously pursuing his passion for rugby and coaching. 🏉
As his calling grew beyond the classroom and the rugby field, he now serves as a missionary, dedicated to sharing the Gospel and being a light in the communities around him.

He is a testament to a life led with purpose, faith, and service. We celebrate your achievements Lazlyn. 👏
