The Class of 2020 experienced a school year unlike any other... They faced the uncertainty of Covid, adapted to new ways of learning and continued to show resilience, determination, and unwavering school spirit.

The Class of 2020 reminded us that true school spirit isn't defined by circumstances - it's defined by the people who carry it. 🫶

Meet Lazlyn April, a proud alumni member of York High School 💙

You may know him as York's Head Boy in 2020, or as a stellar rugby player for York's 1st Team. We know and love him for his spirit, pride, and heart for serving others. 🫶

A respected leader both on and off the field, Lazlyn navigated his Matric year during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. After which, he studied at North West University Potch, while simultaneously pursuing his passion for rugby and coaching. 🏉
As his calling grew beyond the classroom and the rugby field, he now serves as a missionary, dedicated to sharing the Gospel and being a light in the communities around him.

He is a testament to a life led with purpose, faith, and service. We celebrate your achievements Lazlyn. 👏

Introducing another proud alumni member of York High School - Meet Maggie Kruger ✈️

During her time at the school, Maggie demonstrated both leadership and teamwork through her involvement in the Pastoral Panel and the First Team Tennis squad.💙

Today, she is soaring in her career as a qualified pilot and now Captain—a testament to where hard work, resilience, and determination can take you. Her goals for the future include more traveling!

Meet Andrea Joy Prince, a proud alumni member of York High School 💙

A valued member of the Pastoral Panel, Andrea had an intuitive ability to make others feel included - a quality that continues to serve her well as she pursues a career in medicine.

Andrea is currently working as a medical officer in emergency medicine and has her goals set to one day be a specialist in Anaesthesiology. 🩺
