How to make homework more fun...
Most children would definitely tell us that homework is not fun and not worth it, but here are the top 3 tips from the Kids Inc team to make the homework window more fun and entertaining which will lead to better knowledge retention:

1. Gamefy the experience!
Thats right, include games as a reward structure to ensure there is more fun to be had and it leads to the reward of a "job well done" to be more enjoyed.
2. Change the homework environment and add movement.
Try not to always do homework in the same space, new spaces encourage a new point of view and a new way to look at a problem which will also lead to better knowledge retention and self-confidence boost!
3. Get with the latest tech and apps.
There are loads of educational apps on the play store and many of them will have lessons and features that will closely link to what your child is busy with in their classes.

Book week at Kids Inc is almost coming to an end and we are so excited to see what our kiddos are coming dressed in on Friday.

We love books and the way they brings stories to life which is exactly what we love celebrating books at Kids Inc.

We are so excited for the Kids Inc market day happening this Saturday!
We also know want to make sure we dont miss a second of our Springboks playing! We will be LIVE STREAMING the Rugby this Saturday from 9AM!

Kids learn better through play?

It's been shown that children who have learnt lessons through play have been able to recall those lessons not only weeks and months later, but years as well.

For this reason, at Kids Inc we include structured play time through certain lessons that only make the time spent in that period more fun but encourages learners to play and participate in the lesson thus encouraging lesson retention.
