Nietzsche said: "He who knows the why to live can bear almost any how."
Dr. Frankl - a Holocaust survivor said if you are feeling depressed today and don't see the use of it all any more, ask what life or the world is still expecting of you? What will we miss out on if you are not here? Maybe you still need to write that book, or see your grandchild or fix that single mom's car or...
I was so encouraged by a story Dr. Frankl told of a young girl who was in a wheelchair and only had the use of her head. She could type by taking pencil between her lips and pressing it to the computer. She spent her days looking through newspapers and news channels to find people who went through trauma. She would then contact them and encourage them, because she had authority on suffering!
Another young man in the same position said that he could understand people going through suffering and listen to them. He studied and became a therapist!
Don't give up, we need you and your unique contribution to life!
Go against the odds! Plan for the future! Let the 'why' inspire you to overcome the 'how'!

Inspired by Dr. Frankl's book 'Man's search for meaning' or the summary on YouTube and interviews with him.

Ek sien hoe Covid my eie kinders, my dogter is in graad 12 en my seun is 3de jaar op universiteit, affekteer.
Soms het mens net nodig om met iemand te gesels, af te laai, objektief na jou situasie te kyk en 'n realistiese werkplan op te stel.
Dis waarvoor ek hier is.
Kontak my op 082 8714 850 of stuur 'n e-pos aan [email protected]

I see how Covid has affected my own children, my daugther who is in grade 12 and my son who is a 3rd year varsity student, this year. If you feel overwhelmed, contact me and let's chat. Getting it all off your chest, looking objectively at your situation and creating a realistic work plan with support sometimes makes all the difference.
That's what I am here for.
