Grace Foundation volunteers are teaching sewing classes at Greyton Primêr to the Grade 6 & 7 girls. They will be learning how to sew washable pads, and if anyone would like to sponsor a sewing kit @ R40 ea, pls contact Erna (084 588 8017). We need 40 kits.

"Turning fish skin into leather" was a very successful workshop! Stellenbosch University (in particular Dr Khalid Salie from the Aqua Culture Dept) sponsored the workshop as well as flying over Patricia Kanarski from Amazonia in Brazil to host it. Quinton Marais from Rolfes Leather sponsored the chemicals, and 8 students from the various Greyton communities came on board. 3 weeks of hard work proved to be very successful. It was stressful at times...but we plenty of fun moments as well! Thank you to all involved!
