Kleine Kloof and Kelderhof Early Learning Centres A home away from home that gently holds both our toddlers and families as they take the first steps into early education 🏡✨ Cape Town | Somerset West

Kleine Kloof was founded by Mariloö Bester and Yael Fine-Bloom as a place of play and learning in 2015. With a combined educational experience of 25 years under our belts and as mothers of young children, we were inspired to realise our life long dreams of creating the perfect environment for early learners. Our focus is to provide a fun, secure and supportive environment, where children learn through play. Each child is viewed as an individual where they are encouraged to develop to their full potential, and at their own pace. We wish to nurture confident, caring beings that are able to deal with all that the wonderful world presents to them. We will be opening our doors in the beautiful historical setting of the Tamboerskloof Dutch Reformed Church, on Kloofnek in January 2016. We will house one Afrikaans and one English class within this safe and secure environment. To enable optimal learning and individual attention we offer a high staff to child ratio. Each class will accommodate a maximum of 15 children aged between 2 and 3 years led by a qualified and experienced teacher as well as a teaching assistant. Slightly younger applicants will be considered based on their level of development.

Parents often report back to us that when they collect their little one from school and ask them about their day at school that they wish their child would tell them more about what they’ve been up to since school drop off. The reality is that they’ve had a super busy day and they don’t know where to start sharing! They’ve felt all sorts of emotions, made numerous choices, seen many faces, made countless choices and observations.. Even if they have a rich vocabulary, they may struggle to access specific memories to share with you. Here are some simple questions we have come up with to guide these after school chats with your little person. Do you have any go-to questions that work for you?
