Last night was a special milestone as our newly appointed Student Council members signed their official leadership pledges.

We extend our gratitude to all the parents who joined us. As Mr and Mrs Marshall shared, we thank you deeply for your dedication in shaping the fine character of these remarkable young people.

Our leaders were left with two powerful reminders to guide their journey ahead:
- Mr Van Zyl reminded us that true leadership is always about putting others first.
- Mrs Magriet Van Tonder emphasised that leadership is an active function to be lived out every day, not merely a title or position.

We value our school families and are thankful and expectant as we partner together this year of service. We cannot wait to see these young men and women serve and grow into their full potential!

Today, as we celebrated Founder’s Week at Mokopane Destiny Academy, every single class took time to write a special message of encouragement and wisdom for the class that will step into their shoes next year.

We officially sealed these messages inside our very first MDA Time Capsule! Next year during Founder’s Week, the capsule will be unsealed so each class can read the words left behind for them by the class before.

This proud new tradition honours one of our core foundational beliefs: we keep building upon the successes of those who went before us. Here’s to honouring our past, encouraging our future, and growing stronger together every single year!

We are deeply grateful to Sasol Zebetiela for visiting Mokopane Destiny Academy today to officially hand over our newly extended netball court!

This incredible project is a powerful example of what happens when local business and education unite. Investing in the youth isn't just about constructing facilities—it's about building confidence, encouraging healthy living, and teaching teamwork skills that last a lifetime. When businesses step up to support schools, they are directly investing in the future leaders, athletes, and changemakers of our community.

At Mokopane Destiny Academy, we extend our heartfelt thank you to Sasol Zebediela. We are truly honored to partner with a business that sees the value in empowering young lives and creating opportunities for our learners to shine, both on and off the court.

Here’s to strong partnerships, active youth, and many victorious games ahead!

At Mokopane Destiny Academy, we know that reading isn't just an academic skill—it's the foundation of great leadership. Reading expands horizons, builds critical thinking, and sparks the imagination necessary to navigate a global world.

To keep minds sharp and imaginations soaring over the break, our dedicated Library Prefects organized an incredible Winter Reading Competition. Our students rose to the challenge, diving into books and demonstrating an inspiring dedication to literacy!

Join us in giving a huge round of applause to our winners:
Therese Nel
Bjorn van der Westhuyzen
Ruth Petersen
Enzo Da Ponte

Thank you to our Library Prefects for leading this fantastic initiative, and to our parents for encouraging a home culture of literacy. Keep turning those pages!
