By Thorntree glo ons dat die regte leeromgewing ’n belangrike rol speel in elke leerder se akademiese en persoonlike ontwikkeling. Met die uitbreiding van ons Afrikaanse afdeling skep ons ’n geleentheid vir Afrikaanse leerders om binne ’n kleiner, persoonlike leeromgewing gehalte-onderrig te ontvang.
Thorntree Senior Kollege volg die IEB-kurrikulum, met ’n sterk fokus op akademiese ontwikkeling, kritiese denke en die voorbereiding van leerders vir die eise van hul verdere skoolloopbaan en uiteindelik die wêreld daarbuite.
Ons is opgewonde om ons Afrikaanse gemeenskap deel te maak van Thorntree Senior Kollege en sien uit daarna om nuwe gesinne te verwelkom en saam met hulle ’n sterk akademiese toekoms vir hul kinders te help vorm.

Today our Grade 10 learners investigated the fascinating properties of dry ice (solid carbon dioxide). Unlike ordinary ice, dry ice does not melt into a liquid. Instead, it undergoes sublimation, changing directly from a solid to a gas. As the carbon dioxide gas rapidly cools the surrounding air, water vapour condenses, creating the thick white fog seen during the experiment.
A hands-on investigation that brought chemistry to life through observation, questioning, and scientific discovery. 🔬✨
