We were deeply honoured by the grand visit of Queen Masalanabo, a moment that truly reinforced the pride, unity, and identity of the Balobedu nation. 💙✨ Her presence reminded us of how far we have come—building a prestigious rural school that proudly competes with model C schools in urban areas. 🏫🌟 We are truly proud!

During her visit, Her Majesty also donated sanitary towels as a beautiful gesture of honouring women during this special month of recognition. 💖🩷 She further encouraged all learners to work hard, stay focused, and make education fashionable in Bolobedu. 📚✨

The excitement was truly contagious! Our learners, teachers and support staff were filled with joy, admiration and anticipation as they welcomed Her Majesty. 👑❤️ The school was buzzing with smiles, cheers, excitement and a deep sense of pride.

🕊️ 🖤Our Beloved Learner Has Been Laid to Rest 🖤🕊️

Today, with heavy hearts, we bid our final farewell to our beloved Grade 8 learner, Onkarabile Kgatla.

During the funeral service, our Head Girl, Selowa Maite, alongside our Head Boy, Makelani Nhlanhla, delivered a heartfelt tribute on behalf of the learners of Mandela Barloworld Agricultural High School. Their comforting words reflected the deep love, respect, and cherished memories that Onkarabile will always hold within our school family.

Although we mourn her passing, we remain grateful for the time we shared with her. Her memory will continue to inspire us, and she will forever be part of the Mandela Barloworld Agricultural High School family.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Kgatla family, friends, educators, learners, and everyone who stood with us during this difficult time. May God continue to grant strength and comfort to all who are grieving.

Mandela Barloworld Agricultural High School would like to inform all parents, guardians and learners that our Educational Excursion to Sun City has been postponed.

📅 New Date: 14 August 2026

🎉 Great News!
The excursion is now open to ALL learners from Grade 8 to Grade 12. This gives every learner an opportunity to be part of this exciting educational and recreational experience.

📍 Destination: Sun City, North West Province
💰 Cost: R900 per learner (includes lunch)

Mandela Barloworld Agricultural High School family gathered at Kgapane Mandela Park to honour and celebrate the life of our beloved Grade 8 learner, Onkarabile Kgatla, during her memorial service.

We were deeply honoured to be joined by the teachers from Pfunanani Academy, where Onkarabile completed her primary school education.

As a school community, we continue to keep the Kgatla family, friends, classmates, and educators in our thoughts and prayers. May we find strength in the love and memories we shared with Onkarabile, whose gentle spirit will forever remain in our hearts.

🕊️ IN LOVING MEMORY OF ONKARABILE XAVIER KGATLA 🕊️

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that Mandela Barloworld Agricultural High School announces the passing of one of our beloved learners, Onkarabile Xavier Kgatla, a Grade 8 learner.

Onkarabile was a valued member of our school family whose presence, kindness, and youthful spirit touched the lives of many. Her passing has left our learners, educators, staff, and the entire school community deeply saddened.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Kgatla’s family, relatives, friends, classmates, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. During this difficult time, we stand together in mourning and offer our unwavering support and prayers.

As a school, we encourage our learners and staff to support one another with compassion and kindness as we navigate this heartbreaking loss. We also respectfully ask everyone to honour the family’s privacy during this period of grief.
