Please take note of the following update regarding the Reakgona Primary School learners who are currently on the school trip in Bekkersdal.

The buses will depart from Bekkersdal for Fochville at 17:00. All learners will be dropped off at Reakgona Primary School.

Parents are kindly requested to make the necessary arrangements to fetch their children upon arrival.

PUBLIC NOTICE TO PARENTS AND GUARDIANS

As schools close for Term 2, we would like to wish all our parents, guardians, and learners a happy, restful, and safe winter holiday.

We look forward to welcoming all learners back for Term 3, which will commence on Tuesday, 21 July 2026.

Management has noted a voice note currently circulating on social media, calling on learners to attend extra classes at the school during the holidays. Please be advised that Reakgona staff and educators have not scheduled any extra classes during the school holidays.

Parents and guardians are urged to disregard any unverified information. All official communication regarding school activities will only be shared through our trusted and official communication platforms.

We kindly ask all parents and guardians to take good care of their children during the holiday period and to remain vigilant at all times.

We wish you all a safe and enjoyable winter break.

Please note that teachers will be attending a Mass meeting on Wednesday 25 February 2026. As a result, the school will knock off at 11h30 on this day.

Kindly make the necessary transport arrangements for learners, including staff transport where applicable, to ensure they are collected on time.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Please note that the school will be hosting the Reakgona Athletics Interhouse Championships on Monday, 26 January 2026.

All participants and spectators are required to report to school at 07h30, dressed in their designated house colours according to their classes, as follows:
House A: White (e.g. 1A, 2A, 5A)
House B: Red (e.g. 2B, 4B, 6B)
House C & D: Blue (e.g. 1C, 1D, 5C)

Attendance arrangements per grade are as follows:
Grade R, 1, 2 & 3: Only participating athletes are to come to school.
Grade 4, 5, 6 & 7: All learners and athletes are to attend.

Learners are encouraged to bring pocket money, as the school will be selling treats and snacks on the day.

Please ensure that learners come prepared with sunhats and water bottles to stay protected and hydrated.

We look forward to an exciting and successful athletics day.

Please take note of the stationery collection dates for 2026, which will be conducted as follows:

Foundation Phase (Grades 1, 2 & 3)

Intermediate Phase (Grades 4, 5, 6 & 7)

Stationery lists were shared with parents during the 2025 report card collection. However, the lists will be reposted below for your convenience.

Kindly ensure that the correct school banking details are used for the stationery donation. Please use the learner’s full name and grade as the reference. Thereafter, bring the proof of payment (receipt) to the school.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
Reakgona Primary School

This serves to inform you that the AGM and Report Card Issuing will take place on 10 December 2025 from 10:00 AM. We strongly encourage all parents and guardians to attend in large numbers.

Learners are reminded to return all school textbooks. If a textbook has been lost, the replacement fees are as follows: R100 for a reader and R200 for a textbook.

Please remember to collect the 2026 stationery list, which will be issued together with the report cards.
