Regarding music lessons for your child, it’s really important that you’re involved. You may not be a musician but having an interest in your child’s progress makes the world of difference. Checking they’ve practiced their scales, pieces or exercises each day will be a huge help to not only the teacher but your child’s musical development. I know there is a fine line between forcing one to do something, but in the beginning at an early age, the intrinsic motivation for an oftentimes extra mural, may not be there yet. It is challenging but a rewarding process if followed with attention and care.
