Important Notice: Trust Filing Season Opens Soon

SARS has confirmed the following important deadlines for trusts:

▪️ 19 September 2026: Trust Filing Season opens for ITR12T submissions.
▪️ 30 September 2026: IT3(t) third-party data returns are due, where applicable.
▪️ 22 January 2027: ITR12T submission deadline for both provisional and non-provisional trusts.

Practitioners should start preparing now by ensuring that trust registrations, representative details, financial records and supporting documents are complete and up to date.

Remember: The IT3(t) return is a separate reporting obligation and does not replace the trust’s annual ITR12T income tax return. The IT3(t) must be finalised before submitting the ITR12T.
