On Tuesday, Estcourt High School faced off against Ladysmith High School in an intense afternoon of soccer fixtures. Every squad displayed resilience, discipline, and fierce commitment against tough opposition.

Fixtures & Results:
•1st Team: EHS 1 – 2 LHS
•2nd Team: EHS 1 – 1 LHS
•U15: EHS 1 – 4 LHS
• Girls Team: EHS 2 – 0 LHS

A stellar performance from our Girls Team secured a commanding victory on the pitch! While some results did not go our way, every setback serves as a stepping stone toward our growth. The grit and character shown across all divisions prove that our journey is far from over.

We learn, we adjust, and we come back stronger.

WOMEN’S MONTH | BEYOND THE COURT

On 14 August, the women of Estcourt High School stepped onto the netball court for a spirited friendly fixture against the female staff of Drakensview Primary School, continuing a month-long celebration of the women who shape, lead and inspire our communities.
Adding a special touch to the occasion, our Acting Principal, Mrs Tshezi, proudly took to the court alongside our staff, embodying the spirit of participation, camaraderie and leadership that defined the afternoon. Her involvement served as a wonderful reminder that leadership is not only exercised from behind a desk, but can also be found in the moments where we stand alongside our colleagues and community.

What followed was far more than a game.
It was an afternoon of camaraderie, laughter, gracious competition and genuine connection, a reminder that sport has a remarkable way of bringing people together beyond the boundaries of our institutions.
Our sincere appreciation goes to Drakensview Primary School for their gracious hospitality and for welcoming our staff with such warmth and enthusiasm. The occasion was a fitting celebration of Women’s Month and the strength found in community, collaboration and fellowship.

At Estcourt High School, we believe that some of the most meaningful moments are found beyond the classroom, in the relationships we build, the communities we strengthen and the memories we create together.

Estcourt High School proudly congratulates Wamkele Mpembe, Lwandle Duma and Thabiso Ndlovu on their selection to the Midlands 7s Team.

To earn selection at representative level is an achievement in itself, a reflection of ability, discipline, character and commitment. To then return from competition at Durban High School as Shield Cup champions makes the achievement all the more special.

Our boys represented the Midlands with distinction and carried the maroon of Estcourt High with them every step of the way.

We commend them not only for the result, but for the standards they continue to set through their conduct, determination and sporting excellence.
