Kairos Sewing School has been operating in Eshowe for several years, teaching sewing skills and empowering people to improve their lives. Our main goal is to equip individuals with knowledge and practical skills they can use to become self-employed or access employment opportunities.
Over the years, we have had the privilege of working with various organizations, including Child and Family Welfare Society, Rainbow Circle Organization, and Rise and Shine Organization.
Currently, we continue to work closely with Rainbow Circle Organization and Rise and Shine Organization in empowering women, providing them with skills for independence, and supporting campaigns against Gender-Based Violence (GBV) directed at women and children.
We have also collaborated with Eshowe Correctional Services, where we provided sewing training within the correctional facility for both women and men. This initiative created an opportunity for individuals to gain valuable skills that can positively impact their future lives.
In addition, we briefly offered training at ABET centers, although the program had to be paused due to weather conditions that disrupted operations.
We are proud of the positive impact we have seen in the lives of our students. Some have started their own businesses, while others have secured employment opportunities through the skills they acquired at Kairos Seewing School
