Too funny 😂😆 Exactly what came up in discussion at a recent Rhino TM meeting where I gave a speech about the development of telephonic communication! 🤩😆

According to a new year-long study by the Centre for Talent Innovation, The following six communication skills were deemed the most important by director-level executives and above.

Excellent Public Speaking
Great speaking skills were rated as the first most important communication requirement Leaders must be able to speak well in front of press or one on one.

The Ability to Command A Room
Of the executive polled 54% said that this is the top requirement for both men and women. Commanding a room means people listen when you speak. Through great speaking skills, confidence and standing tall. Moreover if you can phrase and emphasize ideas well, it will get people’s attention.

Assertiveness
Executives believe that Assertiveness is equally important for both men and women to attain top job positions. It means speaking up with confidence but not being confrontational.
Emotional Intelligence

Emotional intelligence is the ability to understand and manage your own emotions, and those of the people around you. For leaders, having E I is essential for success. It evokes positive feelings in others and the ability to make them feel valued and understood.

Sense of Humour
The report found that the ability to show a sense of humour and excel at off the cuff casual conversations is also incredible important. This requires the ability to read the audience and also to have a basic understanding of the latest news and pop culture headlines.

Good Posture and Body Language
Nonverbal communication says a lot. Body language portraying strength and confidence signals you're leadership material. Stand tall, hold your head upright and make eye contact.
