Acceptance criteria to the program

An NSC with an achievement rating of 4 (50%) in four recognized NSC 20 credit subjects (matric exemption); an achievement rating of 4 (50%) in Life Orientation; and an achievement rating of 4 (50%) in English as First Additional Language (FAL), or 4 (50%) in English as Home Language; Minimum entry points
Minimum duration of studying: 3 years
Total credit to graduate:360

In my 18 months of doing this degree I have developed some news skills for instance the team building, Negotiating, listening and empathy skills.

In terms of achievements, I can state that I have achieved a lot, I achieve a lot by treating my work as a challenge that I have to accomplish in order to get to the next level. I am known to my lectures for working hard and giving my best in whatever work that I am given. I have worked on specail projects and solved a lot of problems not forgetting that I am also a dedicated and good group leader.

The purpose of this qualification is aimed at those who wish to become professional communication practitioners and pursue careers in paths such as: Communication Specialist, Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising, Marketing, Radio & Television broadcasting, Corporate Communications, Business Communications and Electronic (digital and Internet) Communication. With this qualification, learners will be equipped to enter the field of communication as professionals. This programme includes specialized work in Social Change and Development Communication, Advanced Public Relations, Journalism and Visual Communication, Digital Communication and New Communication Technologies.
