What an incredible day for Carissa Primary School at the Emalahleni Cluster Heritage Competition! 🇿🇦✨

Our Junior Choir, Senior Choir and Gumboot Dance Group took to the stage and represented our school with passion, confidence, discipline and excellence. We are extremely proud of every learner who participated and gave their absolute best! 👏🏽🔥

🥇 JUNIOR CHOIR – 1st PLACE! 🏆
Our Junior Choir delivered an outstanding performance and emerged as CHAMPIONS of the cluster! 🎶👑 They will now proudly represent the cluster at the District Rounds. We wish them every success as they take this journey forward!

🥉 SENIOR CHOIR – 3rd PLACE! 🎤🏆
A phenomenal performance from our Senior Choir, securing an impressive third position among strong competition. We celebrate your dedication, hard work and excellence!

🥾🎶 GUMBOOT DANCE GROUP
Our Gumboot Dance Group also represented Carissa Primary with tremendous energy, rhythm and enthusiasm. Your performance made us proud!

A special word of appreciation goes to our Choir Heads, choir coordinators, conductors, coaches and the entire choir team for the countless hours of preparation, commitment and guidance that made these achievements possible. 🙏🏽❤️

We also extend our sincere gratitude to our School Management Team (SMT), School Governing Body (SGB), educators, support staff and parents for your continued support and for creating opportunities for our learners to showcase their talents.

Today is a day of mixed emotions at Carissa Primary School.

As we close our gates for the winter holidays, we also bid farewell to two extraordinary colleagues whose contributions have left an enduring legacy in the heart of our school.

🌹 Mrs Wilma Dipenaar – after many years of faithful, dedicated and selfless service, you now begin a well-deserved retirement. Your kindness, wisdom, unwavering commitment and love for our learners and staff have touched countless lives. Your legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.

🏆 Mr L. Mokoneni – our passionate Sports Manager, thank you for the energy, discipline and excellence you brought to every sporting field and every learner you mentored. As you embark on a new journey, we wish you every success and God's richest blessings in the exciting avenues that lie ahead.

📢 A little delayed, but definitely worth celebrating! 🏆⚽

Last week Saturday, our Under 12 Soccer Boys were crowned Super League Champions after an incredible season in which they remained unbeaten from start to finish! 🎉

Their success is a testament to their hard work, determination, teamwork, and never-give-up attitude throughout the season. Week after week, they rose to every challenge and proudly represented our school both on and off the field.

Although this post comes a little later, our pride in this outstanding achievement is as strong as ever. Congratulations to our champions on a remarkable season and a well-deserved league title! 🏆👏⚽

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our President, Promise Sithole.

Promise was a young lady who carried light wherever she went. Her beautiful smile, contagious laughter, and caring heart had a way of uplifting everyone around her. She loved deeply, embraced others wholeheartedly, and made every person feel seen and valued.

Although small in stature, Promise possessed the heart of a lion. She led with courage, kindness, passion, and unwavering dedication. Her vibrant spirit left an indelible mark on our school, and her absence will be felt throughout the halls of Hoërskool Patriot for years to come.

Today, we mourn not only the loss of our President but also the loss of a cherished daughter, friend, leader, classmate, and Pattie family member. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends, fellow learners, and everyone whose life was touched by her remarkable presence.

Promise, thank you for the joy, laughter, and light you brought into our lives. Your legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved you.
