GED = *General Educational Development*
It's the *American High School Diploma equivalent*.
You pass 4 tests instead of doing 5 years of high school and can be done when turning 17.

*The 4 Subjects Tested:*

*1. Math*
Algebra, geometry, graphs, data, and problem solving.
Calculator allowed for part of it.
_Focus: Real-life math, not memorizing formulas_

*2. Reasoning Through Language Arts (RLA)*
Reading + Writing + Grammar
Read articles, answer questions, and write 1 essay.
_Focus: Understand texts and communicate clearly_

*3. Science*
Life science, physical science, and earth science
Reading charts, experiments, and data.
_Focus: How science works, not memorizing facts_

*4. Social Studies*
US History, Civics/Government, Economics, Geography
